“Your competence and concern for my project was obvious at every stage and I truly beleive that I could not have found a better firm to have worked with. Research
Our design process begins with in-depth discussions of your current practice, procedures, and staff functions. Existing conditions and equipment are identified, inventoried and photographed. And then we discuss your goals and strategies for enhancing your practice. Later in the process we focus on technical details, after the space plan has been approved.
Space Planning
Based on the information and criteria you’ve provided, the Project Designer will propose initial layouts for your review. As the plan evolves, you and the Designer will collaborate closely. The end result is a space plan that functionally and emotionally aligns with your unique approach to comprehensive care.
Specialty Equipment
Barrett & Company does not promote or sell medical, dental or computer equipment. You will select equipment suppliers early in the process that will play a critical role in evaluating your existing equipment, identifying new requirements, and maintaining the equipment after installation. The Project Designer coordinates with the suppliers to make sure the project plans accurately support the installation.
Construction Documents
Our design team produces highly detailed plans and specifications covering electrical, data, plumbing, lighting, cabinetry, hardware and finishes, ensuring very accurate construction cost estimates and tightly controlled construction processes. When projects require additional structural design, Barrett & Company collaborates with a local architect who is familiar with your building department, supplemental code issues and indigenous materials. We have a system that has proven successful across the country for both our clients and the design team.
Interior Design
Interior environments play an important role in conveying subconscious images and impressions. Making sure the impression is congruent with your business strategy is critical in decisions on interior lighting, colors, textures, and materials. Our diverse portfolio of design styles illustrates our ability to interpret our clients’ unique preferences.
Furnishings & Accessories
Finishing touches complete the message. Furnishings, artwork and accessories contribute to a consistent overall impression. We will help make appropriate selections that demonstrate attention to detail and quality.
Project Management
A dentist’s time is best spent doing dentistry. After the plans are completed, Barrett & Company continues to provide project management services through permitting, bidding and construction.
