And then we discuss your goals and strategies for enhancing your practice. Later in the process we focus on the technical details, after the space plan has been approved. Space Planning Based on the information and criteria you have provided, the Project Designer will propose initial layouts for your review. As the plan evolves, you and the designer will collaborate closely. The end result is a space plan that functionally and emotionally aligns with your individual approach to comprehensive care. Specialty Equipment Barrett & Co. does not promote or sell medical-dental equipment. You will select an equipment supplier early in the process that will play a critical role in evaluating your existing equipment, identifying new requirements, and maintaining the equipment after installation. The Project Designer coordinates with the supplier to make sure the project plans accurately support the installation. Construction Documents Our design team produces highly detailed plans and specifications to ensure very accurate construction cost estimates and a tightly controlled construction process. Our construction drawings are fully computerized, giving us the capability to communicate and exchange documents electronically. When projects require additional structural design, Barrett & Co. collaborates with a local architect who is familiar with your building department, supplemental code issues and indigenous materials. We have a system that has proven successful across the country for both our clients and the design team. Interior Design Interior environments play an important role in conveying subconscious images and impressions. Making sure the impression is congruent with your business strategy is critical in decisions for interior lighting, colors, textures, and materials. Furnishings, artwork and accessories contribute to a consistent overall impression. We will help you make appropriate selections that demonstrate your attention to detail. Project Management A dentist's time is best spent doing dentistry. After the plans are completed, Barrett & Co. continues to provide project management services through permitting, bidding and construction.
